Professor of Astrophysics

Public speaking

I do enjoy talking about galaxies and the mysteries of the Universe to enthusiastic audiences. Recent gigs have included the Cheltenham Science Festival, the Royal Institution, New Scientist Live, the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibit, the Hay Festival, the IOP Festival of Physics, and the Herstmonceux Astronomy Festival. I am also developing a programme of science club activities for primary school children to introduce them to the scientific process, and regularly give lectures to Astronomical societies across the UK.
