OSCA is a facility instrument designed to take the output beam from the NAOMI adaptive optics system on the 4.2m William Herschel Telescope. OSCA is a stellar coronagraph which is designed to suppress the light from bright stars so that fainter astronomical objects and structures can be seen around them.
