Dear Pedro,
 
To answer your question, I consulted a theologian.  His answer is that
the Credo is an infallible exercise of the ordinary magisterium.  The
whole of the Credo is proposed to the universal Church for teaching,
acceptance, and belief.  It is a somewhat extended meditation on
earlier creeds, yet it is not mere spiritual reading, but a teaching
document proposed to all Catholics by our chief pastor and teacher.
