³ Well over a year ago, I started with this echo, and told you that I was
³ call to the church and convert to Catholicism (raised a Methodist).  You
³ suggested several readings.  I will now be starting the RCIA.  I want to
³ thank you for your prayers.  This is a big step for me, but just the
³ beginning in other ways.
 
Dear Richard,
 
It is really happy news that you are beginning the Rite of Christian
Initiation for Adults.  You can be sure of my prayers for your
progress and perseverance.
 
May I ask you, please, to pray for Joanna Xie and for Colman Chow and
his mother and father.  These Chinese people are also studying the
Catholic Faith and praying with a view to baptism next Easter.
Colman's three sisters--Karen, Lisa, and Joanne--became Catholics
after RCIA two years ago.  Please support them with your prayers
during this whole year to come.
 
I recommend you make many--even daily or more than daily--acts of
interior DESIRE for baptism and Eucharist.  If you are already
baptized, spend much time thanking God for this gift and ask Him to
let it flourish and grow in your life.
