What I do
I am a Reader in astronomy at the Department of Physics & Astronomy at
University College London.
Prior to my current position I was an associate professor at the
Niels Bohr Institute.
I have also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Astronomy and the
California Institute of Technology.
I use radio and optical telescopes on the ground and in space to study galaxies across the Cosmos and apply numerical simulations in order to shed light on the origins and evolution of galaxies. I enjoy teaching and supervising students. I also do public outreach activities related to my research and astronomy in general.
