Notes (from 5H):
The crowd is rough at the start but more peaceful and relaxed after
'MFC.' Mike seems to loosen up during the 'Even Flow' solo. Ed takes
Mike's cigarette from his mouth and takes a drag, later saying, "That's
Mike McCready." Ed grabs for the e-bow but then throw it to the back
during 'Wishlist." Ed introduces 'Timeless Melody' with "This one is
dedicated to Noel [Gallagher], who couldn't be here...", likely referring
to the fact that Liam played without Noel before PJ's set. Mike plays most
of the 'Alive' solo behind his head, then running off the stage while Ed
does some sort of gymnastics centerstage.
Ed introduces 'Last Kiss' as "This is a campfire sing-a-long." He tries
some German: "Wie fühlt....Ihr Euch ?" [How do you feel?] "Ihr seid
spitze" [You're great.] and "Danke" at the end. Big cheers every time. He
told of his "German lesson," and asked how to say "Fuck you" in German,
being told "Hmm, well, we say, errr, 'fuck you.'" Big cheers leading to
'Fucking Up.' When they return for the encore, Ed says, "Ha, we're easy
... sometimes." There was heat lightning (that was insane) behind the
crowd, and a half moon -- both of which Ed exhorted the crowd to turn around
and take a look at. The band, while on fire still, was much more reserved
than at any of the previous shows.
