Notes (from 5H):
"125 minutes and breathtaking." The UK run comes to an end, with perhaps the
best show of this part of the tour. 'NAIS' opens, followed by 'Breakerfall' and
'God's Dice' - both of which are quickly becoming live staples.
A quiet crowd suddenly becomes alive from 'Animal' onwards. Eddie senses this,
telling the crowd "you're singing as good as me." Stone wryly notes that he
can't believe they got through 'Pilate' - check out Matt on back-up vocals! -
without a hitch. 'Once' provides a fitting close to the show, before the
encores, Eddie crashing the microphone stand to the stage floor.
'Spin the Black circle' ensures the momentum is kept up during the second half,
with the inclusion of 'Smile' ("a going away song") and ("one more?") Yellow
Ledbetter at the show's end providing a fitting finish. A very good show in a
comparatively small venue.
