Mike Edmunds (Cardiff)
The Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy has been funded
through JIF, and will represent a major strengthening of the observational
infrastructure available to UK astronomers. The talk will briefly outline
the project, its challenges, current status and scientific potential -
emphasising its relation to other current and future facilities. Questions,
comments and discussion will be welcomed.
