The GEMINI Multiobject Spectrographs

The GMOS spectrographs are two visible-light multiple
object instruments for the GEMINI 8m telescopes. These will be
provide a multiplex gain of up to several hundred with resolving powers
up to 10,000. The image scale of 0.07 arcsec/pixel over a 5.5 arcmin
field will exploit the excellent images expected
from GEMINI. An integral field
spectroscopic capability covering 50 square arcseconds at a sampling
of 0.2 arcsec will also be included.
